Storm restoration across DuPage County

DuPage County sits in one of the most hail-active corridors in Illinois, with 40-plus significant hail events (stones one inch or larger) documented between 2015 and 2025; roofs and siding throughout the county accumulate hidden granule loss and membrane damage that compounds over successive seasons. The county is also in the direct path of progressive derechos that build energy crossing the agricultural flatlands of central Illinois before hitting the densely populated western suburbs - the August 10, 2020 derecho produced straight-line winds exceeding 100 mph and left widespread structural tree damage and power outages lasting more than a week across Naperville, Lisle, Glen Ellyn, and Woodridge, while the July 15, 2024 derecho spawned EF-0 tornadoes in Glen Ellyn, Lombard, and Villa Park with 70-90 mph wind corridors. Suburban infill combined with aging storm-sewer infrastructure makes basement and sewer-backup flooding a recurring secondary threat, particularly in properties near the DuPage River and Salt Creek tributaries, and heavy ice accumulation during winter storms regularly brings down mature trees and power lines, causing roof and structural damage across the county's older, tree-canopied neighborhoods.
